Hi there,

here's a few software updates for you:

PCC2 got updated to version 2.1. It adds the ability to show auto-waypoints on the map, one of the last major features missing from PCC1. As a new feature, PCC2 now can export a simulation setup or result, which you can use in place of the "Print" function that PCC1 had.

Previously it was easy to lose a partially-setup auto task by accident if the cursor runs off the end. PCC2 now protects against this by keeping finished auto-tasks for a turn, so you can recover them.

I now consider PCC2 mostly complete now, which is marked by the version number.

PCC2 NG got updated to version 2.41.5. It adds the same features that PCC2 got. One small but useful change is that the default build now allows you to resize the window, which should significantly increase usability. (Such a change is technically impossible to do in PCC2 "classic".) In addition, there are a large number of changes under the hood and in the server components.

The PlanetsCentral Website got small updates:

  • The autohost now supports a new came type, "Dual Duel", as suggested by snouka, James T. Plagerism and Dahoudaboudadoudawou. This is a two-player game type, where two players play two duels, simultaneously. The idea is to have a game type that fills much more quickly than a standard 11-player game. This game type is currently in testing; once testing completes successfully, it will open for the public. (If you want to give it a test drive, I can also set up another test game for you.)
  • Since the beginning, the site has offered a simple file sharing feature: by configuring a folder in your filespace to allow Read+List permissions for another user, they can download files from you. To make shared files more accessible, the recipient of such file permissions will now receive information about that in their file manager.

Have fun,
Stefan
